Parental Custody

The Parental Responsibility programme aims to protect the child in cases where parents no longer live together and are in dispute regarding matters of parental responsibility of their children. In these cases, the Social Welfare Services are called upon by the Court to prepare reports on the social conditions of the child in order to assist in decision-making, usually to determine the child's permanent residence with one of the parents and to regulate their communication with the other parent, always having regard to the interests of the child.
