Preventive and Social Intervention

Within the context of Preventive / Social Intervention for Adults, the Social Welfare Services focus on early intervention concerning the social requirements of adults who, due to health problems, old age or other social circumstances, become dependent on benefits and/or face various psychosocial problems, which prevent them from joining the labour market and social life in general (e.g. elderly people, substance addicts, the mentally ill, victims of violence).

The aim is to support, empower and assist individuals and their families to become socially active by providing advice and guidance and helping them contact other governmental or non-governmental services and support teams in the community with the ultimate aim to help them function as best as possible and to create conditions for them to develop to their full potential.
