Group of Children in a Forster Family


A group of four to six (4-6) children with special problems and requirements may be placed with one single foster family. Such children may be:

(a) Children who need individual care within the group and at the same time surveillance, for socialisation and discipline purposes;

(b) Children of school age who have had unsuccessful placements with foster families or a long stay in an institution and who need the experience of a family life which is more organised than their usual family for a period of time;

(c) Young children who are in need of urgent placement with a foster family or for a short period of time, due to a specific crisis situation or other requirement.
