The operation of the New System for the Assessment of Disability and Functioning in Cyprus will gradually lead to the creation of a national data base on disability. This will provide information and statistics for the improvement of targeted policies regarding persons with disabilities. The objective is in accordance with Article 31 of the UN Convention for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
